A lot has changed since the inception of the BSP Farebrother Sullivan trophy in 1961 but the way the battle is fought in the rugby field remains the same.

Those were the words of former national and Nadi rep, Belasio Vukiwai ahead of the last Farebrother challenge this Saturday between neighbours Nadroga and Nadi.

The current Fiji Rugby Union development officer who played in the Nadi team from 1977 to 1991 and was also part of the team that last tasted a Farebrother win in Lawaqa park in 1983, said that to most players, playing in this level of rugby to challenge for the most prestigious rugby prize in the country is like playing for the national side.

He added that the current Nadi team might have not done well during the Digicel Cup but the Nadroga coaching staff know they cannot take them lightly knowing the jet set boys will always give their best shot during the Farebrother challenge.

The Nadroga and Nadi last BSP Farebrother Sullivan trophy challenge kicks-off at 3pm this Saturday and you can catch a live commentary on our sister station Viti FM.
