The Nadroga rugby has beaten Suva 23-18 in the third HFC Bank Farebrother Sullivan Trophy challenge this afternoon.
Suva started strongly when Maikeli Mocetadra scored the first try five minutes into the game.
A minute later Nadroga hit back as Apisalome Waqatabu crossed over for the Stallions to lead 7-5.
Nadroga then increased their lead to 13-5 after two penalty conversions.
With two minutes for the first half to end, Suva’s Samuela Newa scored a try to close the gap to 13-12.
Nadroga started the second half on a high as Savenaca Rawaca scored a try for the Stallions to increase their lead to 18-12.
Suva's Serupepeli Vularika continued to close the gap landing a penalty in the 51st minute.
Savenaca Rawaca again crossed over for Nadroga as they led 23-15.
Nadroga was hit with a big blow as Sakiusa Gavidi was shown a yellow card in the 68th minute.
Suva had the last say as Vularika in the 75th minute landed a penalty for the full time points to be 23-18.
Meanwhile in the B Division final Naitasiri Northern Bulls beat Cakaudrove 18-5 to be one of the challengers of the Farebrother Sullivan Trophy.
