BLK Nadroga is once again the champion of the 2016 Skipper Cup competition after a hard fought 17-12 win over RC Manubhai Suva at the ANZ Stadium.
Fullback Apisalome Waqatabu kicked four conversions in the match while centre Joeli Lutumailagi scored Nadroga’s only try.
Suva fullback Meli Kurisaru kicked three conversions.
The Stallions led Suva 8-3 at halftime.
President of the Nadroga Rugby Union Tiko Matawala says the win is for the players and their families who sacrifice even the little things in their daily lives to ensure that the team is well prepared.
Nadroga walked away with a prize of $30,000 while Suva received $15,000.
Meanwhile, Suva won the U20 final of the Skipper Cup beating Nadroga 26-24.
