“We need more time to prepare for the celebrations.”
Those were the words of Nadroga High Chief Turaga na Kalevu Ratu Sakiusa Makutu in relation to Iliesa Delana’s celebration.
Ratu Sakiusa said the vanua has yet to discuss the plan for celebrations and he will be calling all the Tikina representatives, the Nadroga Sports Councils, Hotels and Stakeholders in the Nadroga/Navosa province.
Ratu Sakiusa added they will want to organise something special for their Golden Boy.
Meanwhile, Nadrala village headman Epeli Nawasa confirmed that they will have their own celebrations on Friday next week.
Delana will be arriving at 12.20pm tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Iliesa Delana’s gold medal win will be celebrated at Albert Park this Thursday.
The Government is currently finalizing the logistics of a parade through the streets of Suva from the Flea Market to Albert Park.
