Nadroga rugby players will share around $12,000 this Saturday as bonus payment for their Farebrother Sullivan Trophy win over Tailevu last week.

Nadroga rugby president Tiko Matawalu said their sponsor Outrigger on the Lagoon will reward the players for their efforts.

Matawalu added Outrigger promised them $10,000 if they win the Farebrother for the year and $2,000 was set aside if they win each challenge but in this case they were the last challengers, so that is how they earned the $12,000.

The former Nadroga skipper said this week’s celebration will be the biggest ever as it will coincide with the Adi Nadroga Carnival where the people of Nadroga and Navosa from around Fiji will gather in Sigatoka.

The Farebrother victory celebrations will start at 9am Saturday.
