The Public Works Department said most of the consumers in parts of Nadi and Lautoka are now receiving normal water supply.

Works Ministry spokesperson Sainiana Waqainabete said even though they had repaired pipes at the Vaturu Dam, there were pocket areas which were not receiving water supply this morning.

Waiqainabete had then urged consumers to call PWD if they were not receiving water and engineers would attend to the problem adding a number of calls were received and their water woes addressed.

She said their engineers are now tackling areas in the rural outskirts of Nadi and Lautoka and water supply is expected to normalize in these areas by this afternoon.
