Nadi without eight players from last year’s winning team

Defending Champion of the Vodafone Fiji FACT, the Nadi soccer team will be without eight of its players that were part of last year’s winning team.

Top goalkeeper, Beniamino Mateinaqara has joined Hekari United, Amani Makoe has joined Rewa while Napolioni Qasevakatini and Rusiate Matarerega are now with Suva.

Seasonal campaigners like Jolame Vukivuki, William Valentine and Shafim Buksh are injured and have been ruled out.

However, Nadi President, Navneeda Goundar says they will be fielding a full strength team in this tournament.

Vereti Dickson, Munit Krishna, Ilimotama Jese, Ame Votoniu, Samuela Drudru and Lekima Gonerau are some of the renowned players that will feature for Nadi.

Nadi will play Nadroga at 2pm this Sunday at Govind Park. At 4pm, Ba will face Lautoka.

At Ratu Cakobau Park, Labasa will play Tailevu Naitasiri at 2pm while Suva will take on Rewa at 4pm. You can catch the live commentary of the Suva-Rewa match on our sister station, Radio Sargam.
