Nadi father wants justice
Kamlesh Chandra said his son was hit by a van on Thursday March 22nd this year in Korovuto.
His son was on his way to school when the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle which then caused the death of the 10-year-old boy.
Chandra questioned why no action has been taken as yet as he claimed that all the witnesses had given their statements on the same day.
Chandra is now asking whether the Police know that the driver involved is out of the country.
Chandra hopes some urgent action is taken.
We have contacted Police spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri who confirmed that charges have not been laid against the driver as the file was sent to the Police Headquarters from Nadi for guidance.
He said the driver was interviewed and released.
He further said that they are now investigating the claims from the victim’s father that the driver has now gone out of the country.
