Nadi 15s rugby coach Iliesa Tanivula breathed a sigh of relief yesterday after his side edged Northland 12-6 to keep the Colonial Farebrother Sullivan trophy.

In a try less game, Northland forced Nadi into mistakes throughout the match and had only themselves to blame for not coming away with a win.

It took Nadi 33 minutes in the first half before they scored their first points through the boots of Sunia Vata.

Both sides were locked 6 all in most parts of the second half before Nadi took the lead in the last 20 minutes of play from a penalty to replacement fullback Dan Rawaqa.

With only 2 minutes of play remaining Vata kicked a drop-goal for the jetsetters to keep the Farebrother again for a week.

Tanivula highlighted key areas he will work on before Naitasiri challenges for the cup next Saturday.
