Nadi has been imposed with a curfew so that a cleanup can start without any hindrance.

Nadi Mayor Timoci Koroiqica said that the Council imposed the curfew that will start this morning, adding that their efforts will help if ratepayers pay all their rates so that the council can use the money to clean up.

The curfew begun this morning at 6am and will last for the whole day until 6pm.

Meanwhile, villagers still at the various evacuation centres in Sigatoka will be going back to their homes with the question of how they will clean up their homes as there is no supply of water.

Resident James Bali said there are still more than 200 people still sheltering at the evacuation centres and most of them have not seen the extent of the damages that the floods have left on their homes.
