The Nadi River is at the brink of bursting its banks and Nadi Mayor, Timoci Koroiqica said it is very likely that flood waters will enter the town area again when high tide comes in at around 8pm.
Koroiqica said they have decided in a meeting with police that curfew will be in place throughout the day tomorrow. He said this will allow council workers and shopkeepers to do cleanup as some people are unnecessarily hindering their work.
The Sabeto River water level in Nadi is rising and people living alongside it and the surrounding low lying areas should move now.
