The Nadi rugby side has retained the Digicel Cup for the second time in a row.

The jet-setters put all the odds behind and defeated Nadroga in the final today by 10 points to 8 at Lawaqa Park.

Nadi coach Iliesa Tanivula stuck to his words, and before the start of the match promised it's fans a victory and that's what his brigade has done today.

Nadi were leading 3-nil at the start with a penalty from Aseli Driu, and then Isei Lewaqai scored a try to give Nadi a lead of 10-3. Nadroga’s three points came from a penalty by Emosi Vucago in the first half.

The second half started very well as Nadroga tried all its best in front of the home crowd, but Nadi denied them any good possession, although Nadroga managed a try in the second spell, but Emosi Vocago failed to convert the try, which saw Nadi win the 2008 Digicel Cup by 10 points to 8 and also win the first prize-money of $20,000.

Ra will now face Rewa in the Promotion Relegation next week, with the winner going into the major division. Rewa in this season's major division finished at the bottom of the Digicel Cup competition.
