The people of Nadi are hoping that the current political situation in the country will be resolved soon so that the tourism industry is not affected.

Saunaka villager, Seru Veveli Bogisa made the comment after Interim Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau opened the Smugglers Cove Beach resort over the weekend.

Bogisa said the people of Saunaka benefitted a lot from the industry as a source of employment and urged the interim administration to resolve the political crisis in the country as soon as possible to ensure that the industry is no longer affected.

Ratu Epeli said the interim government is very supportive of the relationship between the hoteliers and landowners.
