Nadi Pastor, FRU Chairman appears in court again
The two men who are charged with one count of malicious act under the Public Order Act for allegedly circulating information about a so called prophecy of a disaster in Fiji earlier this week were told to surrender their passports today.
The court heard that the first disclosures have been served and second disclosures are to be served to the two counsels representing the two men.
The court has ordered that Gavoka is to report to the Sigatoka Police Station and Lutunacevamaca to report to Nadi Police Station every Saturdays between 6am to 6pm.
The case is adjourned to the 15th of next month.
It is alleged that between 8th March to 16th June this year in Nadi Lutunacevamaca made false news on an email of a prophecy on the 23rd of June at 2.30pm that Fiji will be struck by a disaster. Gavoka has been charged for circulating the e-mail on the 16th of June.
