The Nadi and the Labasa rivers have burst their banks in the last hour as heavy rain continues.
The Nadi River burst its banks as the high tide came in at around 8:30 this evening.
Our reporter Gulsher Ali confirmed that water has once again entered the town area.
Nadi Mayor Timoci Koroiqica also confirmed that they have decided in a meeting with police that curfew will be in place throughout the day tomorrow.
He said this will allow council workers and shopkeepers to do cleanup as some people are unnecessarily hindering their work.
The Sabeto River water level in Nadi is rising and people living alongside it and the surrounding low lying areas should move now.
Sabeto resident Dip Kumar urged his neighbors to move their essentials and household items on higher levels and move to higher ground if they have to.
The DIMAC Operation Center is not aware of the situation in Nadi at this time.
