The automated check-in at Nadi International Airport has been restored after engineers worked through the night to rectify a fault that disrupted all flights out of Nadi yesterday.

Air Pacific said the computer glitch delayed Air Pacific and other airlines due to problems with the Australian end of the Southern Cross Cable.

Optus engineers were able to restore the computer systems of all airlines at Nadi before the first flight out early this morning.

Air Pacific Managing Director and CEO, Dave Pflieger said ground handling staff at Nadi did a brilliant job of manually checking-in every passenger yesterday, thus ensuring the minimum possible delays to all flights out of Nadi.
