Power blackouts at the Nadi International Airport have led to the cancellation of some international flights.

Air Pacific has had to cancel their flight to Sydney and Los Angeles this morning as there were problems with their check-in counters.

However, it has been confirmed that the generators are now running.

Meanwhile, parts of Ba, Tavua, Rakiraki and Sigatoka are still without power supply.

FEA officials say at about 7.30am the whole of the Western division faced power blackouts however power is restored only in Lautoka, Nadi and some parts of Ba.

There is no time frame given on when power supply will be normalized.

It is believed that the power blackout this morning is caused by faults in some transformers.

The FEA technical team is working around the clock to restore power supply.
