Former Auckland Blues fullback, Isa Nacewa playing days in Ireland is likely to come to an end.

This comes after the Irish Rugby Football Union announced major changes to the recruitment of foreign players which could anger provincial coaches.

Provinces will also be forced to release foreigners like Ruan Pienaar, John Afoa, Doug Howlett, BJ Botha and Nacewa when their current contracts come to an end.

Changes include that only one foreign player allowed in any of the provincial team.

For the 2013 to 2014 season and onwards, for any given position involving a contracted player, a province will not be permitted to renew that player contract or bring in a new player into that same position in its squad.
