Former Auckland Blues flyhalf Isa Nacewa has ruled himself out of the Flying Fijians November's Europe tour as he heads home to New Zealand to attend to a prior commitment.

FRU Chief Executive, Keni Dakuidreketi has confirmed that they have been in contact with Nacewa through emails but revealed that Nacewa is due to attend a friend's wedding in November which has ruled him out of selection.

Since the 2003 Rugby World Cup, Nacewa has turned down several opportunities to represent Fiji including ruling himself out of selection for Fiji at the 2007 Rugby World Cup as well as turning down the opportunity to don the Fiji jumper during last year's tour of Scotland and Ireland.

In 2006 he wanted his eligibility changed from Fiji to New Zealand to represent the All Blacks.

But due to IRB law his appearance for Fiji in the World Cup made him ineligible for the All Blacks.
