Auckland Blues utility back-line Isa Nacewa is likely to wear the number 15 jersey this season.

Coach David Nucifora believes that Nacewa's experience in the full-back position will give him an edge against George Pisi and Ben Atiga who played in that position last year.

Nacewa who was voted the best player in Auckland's Air New Zealand Cup triumph has only been running again for a few weeks after X-rays revealed he broke a bone in his foot late last year.

His training in the summer has been restricted to cycling and gym-work.

The 25 year old played for Fiji at the 2003 World Cup.

He wants the IRB to reconsider his eligibility and in the meantime has been rewarded with domestic New Zealand success.
