President Ratu Josefa Iloilo's Secretary Rupeni Nacewa has turned down the position of Defence Permanent Secretary to replace Malakai Tadulala who has been demoted to Deputy Secretary for insubordination.
Nacewa confirms Ratu Iloilo requested he stay at the President's Office.
PSC Chairman Rishi Ram said other applicants will be considered and they are liaising with the Interim Defence Minister Ratu Epeli Ganilau before an appointment is made.
