Former Digicel Fiji 7s Captain Etonia Naba wants another showdown with IRB 7's series champions, New Zealand in the opening leg in Dubai next week.
Naba was captain of the side that lost 26-19 to New Zealand in the final last year, in a side which mainly consisted of players who were making their first IRB 7's appearance.
Now the Nadroga man, who was dropped from the team that went to the last two legs of the IRB 7's series, this year he is taking this chance to show the other teams taking part in Dubai that Fiji is the world 7's rugby champion.
Naba said the meeting New Zealand will be chance to avenge last year's lost.
Fiji is in Pool D with England, USA and Portugal in the Dubai 7's which will kick-off next Friday.
