NZ wins South Africa 7s
Earlier Fiji was bundled out in the quarter finals by England 21-14 and faced Wales in the Plate Final.
The Plate Finals saw the Digicel Fiji 7s team suffer their most embarrassing loss in their 13 year history of the HSBC World 7s series.
Fiji was humiliated by Wales 48-0 despite beating them in their Pool encounter by 29-14.
The national side failed to win kick offs, their defense was disorganized, penalties where conceded and their handling errors were costly.
Looking at the current HSBC IRB 7s table standings after the Nelson Mandela Bay 7s , Fiji and NZ are tied in 1st place with 51 points, followed by South Africa with 48, and then England with 47.
The next stop for the World 7s series is in Wellington on the 3rd of February.
