The heat is on defending IRB 7s series champion, New Zealand to gain maximum points in the Nelson Mandela Bay 7s this weekend.

The DJ Forbes led side won in South Africa last year when Tomasi Cama converted a penalty to beat England.

After dominating the series in the past years, the New Zealand team is under a lot of pressure to deliver in Port Elizabeth.

They currently sit joint third in the standings and despite reaching the Cup final in the opening round in Australia, they lost three matches for the first time in Dubai and collected just 10 Series points.

Forbes said the past two weeks was pretty disappointing for them but they will have to stamp their mark in South Africa this weekend.
