Trans‑Tasman rivalry is set to reach fever pitch today when the undefeated New Zealand take on home town favourites Australia in the Gold Medal match during the Netball World Cup.

The Silver Ferns were able to book their place in the final after downing England 50‑39 in the first semifinal while Australia was able to overcome a spirited Jamaica 67‑56 in a close battle in the second semifinal.

The Silver Ferns will face Australia at 5.20 this afternoon.

Meanwhile, Fiji will play Scotland in a placing match at 10.55am.
