New Zealand Sevens captain DJ Forbes is hoping the Hong Kong experience can help his team push on to retain their World series title.

New Zealand switch attention to Tokyo this weekend and with just three events left, they have had their World Series lead cut to just two points by the dangerous Fijian side.

Forbes believes the loss will be a major motivator and learning experience for the latest edition of his side.
