Current IRB 7s points leader New Zealand will play Samoa in the USA final at 3.46pm.

New Zealand defeated Kenya 21-7 in the first semifinal while Samoa edged Australia 14-12 in the other semifinal.

This will be the second week for Samoa to play in the final after they lost to Fiji 19-14 in the New Zealand 7s last week.

New Zealand will again maintain their lead at the top of the points table after the final this afternoon.

Meanwhile the Digicel Fiji 7s team will take on South Africa for the 5th time in the IRB 7's series this season but this time it will be in the plate final of the USA 7s after Fiji beat Wales 32-0 in the plate semifinal.

Fiji after losing 28-7 to Australia in the cup quarterfinal came back strongly to beat Wales scoring a total of 6 tries.

Captain Emosi Vucago scored two tries while Watisoni Votu, Jiuta Lutumailagi, William Ryder and Niumaia Cakacaka scored a try each.

Fiji led 17-nil at halftime.

They will play South Africa in the plate final at 3.21 this afternoon.
