New Zealand Prime Minister John Key has reiterated his government's offer to Fiji to help restore democracy.
Radio New Zealand reported that Key told the Institute of Foreign Affairs in Wellington that it is critical that Fiji's Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama, engages with all the relevant stakeholders in Fiji.
Key said they just hope that Commodore Bainimarama will honour his commitment to holding elections in 2014 and New Zealand is prepared to give Fiji whatever support they might need in terms of personnel or financial assistance.
Previously, New Zealand has taken a harsher stance against Fiji and was not willing to accept the government's plans to hold elections in 2014 after necessary electoral reforms are carried out.
