The New Zealand 7s team is highly likely to wrap up the 2007 / 2008 IRB World 7s Series in London this weekend, although one tournament will remain next week.
The Gordon Tietjens coached side just needs 7 points to win the Series and they can do that by just qualifying for the semifinals. They are the top bets in their pool with Argentina, Wales and Moldova and barring any upsets they may face England in the Cup quarterfinals.
New Zealand 7s captain DJ Forbes said there is a different feeling when you win the series title.
Meanwhile the Fiji 7s team had a warm up match against Moldova in London today and they convincingly won the match. Team manager Opetaia Ravai said if the players follow the game plan then it will be hard to stop them this weekend.
The London 7s tournament will start tomorrow evening. Fiji's opening Pool match will be against Canada at 8:44pm.
