It's a week of adventure and exciting times for 11 children from a kindergarten in New Zealand, as they are currently in the country for a one week visit.

The Wanganui Chronicle reports, the preschoolers of Born and raised Pasifika together, each with a parent, teachers and church elders will visit their sister pre school centers in Lautoka and Nadi.

The children aged from 12 months to 7 years will be wearing their special colorful shirts showing they are little Kiwis with maps of New Zealand on the back surrounded by Maori designs.

Pasifika pre school center manager Hellen Puhipuhi said serious fund raising efforts had been under way for more than a year for the trip.

She said it is a valuable time for them and the children to visit Fiji and spend time with the children here.

The traveling group includes Samoan, Fijian and Maori children who will stay with the adults in a hotel near Lautoka.
