NZ Billionaire offers to help Fiji
Glenn who owns a villa on the island of Malolo Lailai told the NZ Herald it would be up to the government if he took any part, and would depend on the mandate he has.
He also said Fiji's relationship with NZ and Australia needs help from neutral outsiders to prevent further decline.
Glenn, a regular visitor to Fiji since 1959, said any discussions with the Fiji government will be better off without New Zealanders or Australians.
He said the Fiji system is far more complicated than successive NZ governments have realised, and outside help is needed.
Meanwhile the NZ government has refused to give its support to the Maori Party's plans to send a team of Maori to Fiji.
Maori Party co-leader, Tariana Turia told NZTV she thinks New Zealand's approach has been harsh and isolating Fiji is not the answer. Instead, she wants to send a team of prominent Maori to Fiji to try to help the government. But NZ Prime Minister, John Key said the group could go as long as they are representing the Maori Party and not the government.
