All Blacks 7's coach Gordon Tietjens said for a squad that prides itself on their physicality, he admits they were outmuscled and outplayed in the last two HSBC Sevens World Series.
Tietjens said they have to change their attitude towards each game and are hoping to defend the Sevens World Series again.
Currently sitting fourth overall in the series behind the Vodafone Fiji 7's, South Africa and Australia, New Zealand’s task of returning to the very top of the leader board does not get any easier in Port Elizabeth as they are drawn to meet Samoa, Japan and England in Pool D.
Meanwhile Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan has called in Police rover Ilisoni Tavaiqia and Manueli Laqai to be part of the team.
Ryan is expected to name his final 12 member team today.
The South Africa 7's kicks off tomorrow with Fiji taking on France at 9.30pm.
They will then face Canada at 12.45am Sunday before meeting Scotland at 6.26am.
The cup quarter finals will start at 12.03am Monday, the semifinals will be held at 3.39am while the cup final will be played at 6.30am Monday.
