New Zealand 7s star Steven Yates will play alongside William Ryder in the Japanese League this season.
Yates who scored 8 tries in last week's Hong Kong 7s tournament and helped New Zealand win the title after a lapse of 6 years will play his final 7s tournament in Adelaide before taking up a contract with the Toyota side.
Yates said he will be happy to learn a few goose-stepping tricks from Ryder in the 15s code although they are rivals in the 7s code.
Yates said self belief in New Zealand 7s players is the key to winning the last 5 tournaments in the IRB World 7s Series and this will also help them win this weekend in Adelaide 7s tournament.
New Zealand will go into the Adelaide 7s tournament starting tomorrow as the overwhelming favourites. The opening match tomorrow will be between Fiji and England at 12:39pm.
