New Zealand 7s coach Gordon Tietjens is positive with his Series leading team, coming into this weekend's third round of the IRB 7s World Series.

The current leaders, who have begun the season in perfect fashion winning the tournament's in Dubai and South Africa last year, are looking forward to the home leg of the series, with the party about to get started at the Westpac Trust Stadium this Friday.

Tietjens said his side is in the definitive "Pool of Death" for the Wellington tournament, paired with reigning IRB World Sevens Series champions South Africa, Wales and Niue.
