The National Road Safety Council is calling on the relevant authorities to activate fines against those pedestrians who are caught breaking road rules.
Assistant Director, Timoci Satakala said there are fines which can be imposed on pedestrians, however it also needs to be re-looked at.
Satakala adds there have been many incidents where fatal accidents have been caused by pedestrians.
