The road death toll can be reduced if people took more care while using the roads.

These are the words of the National Road Safety Council Executive Director Akapusi Tuifagalele, who said the road death toll of 66 recorded for last year can be reduced if people stop drinking and driving, as well as driving within the speed limit.

Tuifagalele said he hopes in 2009 people will take heed of the advice that the Council has time and time again emphasized in their campaigns which help save lives.
