The National Rugby League and Digicel have announced a three‑year partnership to support and educate Rugby League fans throughout Fiji and the Pacific.

More than 200,000 students and 1,000 teachers across 100 schools throughout Fiji, PNG, Samoa and Tonga will benefit from the agreement.

A major part of the agreement will see the introduction of a Pacific Warrior program to uncover Rugby League talent throughout the Pacific.

There will also be NRL Pacific Outreach programs to educate youth and women across the Pacific with a focus on achieving real social change.

They will also provide sponsorship for the Australian Prime Minister’s XIII tours.

Digicel Fiji CEO, Darren McLean says rugby League is a well‑loved sport in Fiji and Fijians follow the game with passion on Sky Pacific especially with stars like Semi Radradra, Akuila Uate and many other national reps who play in the NRL.
