The Public Service Commission is yet to comment on whether it is now actively looking at the allegations against Marist Brothers High School Principal, Susau Managreve.

PSC Permanent Secretary Parmesh Chand had earlier told Fijivillage News the Education Ministry is looking into the matter and nothing has been forwarded to the PSC.

Managreve has been suspended pending further decisions by the Education Ministry and the Public Service Commission.

Education Minister, Filipe Bole confirmed to Fijivillage News yesterday that the board of trustees of the all boys secondary school had brought up allegations of the misuse of school funds against the Principal.

Bole said the Ministry then conducted its own investigation into the matter and recommended that Managreve be suspended.

The Vice Principal is now acting in his position.

Fijivillage News has spoken to some officials linked to the school who confirm that the Principal was suspended without pay after they discovered that he was allegedly abusing the funds from the Trust Fund account.

The amount of money involved is still not known.
