The Prime Minister on his recent tours around the country has highlighted the need for the better utilisation of idle land, and the Native Lands Trust Board said they are working towards ensuring that this is done accordingly.

NLTB General Manager Alipate Qetaki said his officials have been accompanying the Prime Minister on some of his recent tours around the provinces and they have taken on board the call by the Prime Minister to seeing that land is made more available for the benefit of the economy.

Qetaki said in particular are cane farming land left idle after the non-renewal of land lease.
