With an estimated $19 million in outstanding land rent arrears, the Native Lands Trust Board will now take drastic action to recover the money with defaulters facing eviction.
NLTB General Manager Alipate Qetaki told Fijivillage News that these arrears have been pending for upto six years and they now are now employing certain strategies to recover the money.
The NLTB is also forwarding the names of those who owe money to the credit Bureau and Qetaki said this will ensure these people cannot secure any financial assistance until they clear their account.
