The NGO Coalition on Human Rights said it will make submissions to its regional partners who will attend the Pacific Islands Leaders Forum in PNG next month to pressure the interim government to hold elections as soon as possible.
Director Virisila Buadromo said they will ensure the NGOs concerns are taken into account at the leaders’ forum.
As the Forum Ministerial Contact Group commences its consultations with stakeholders in Fiji from this morning to report to the Forum Leaders who are expected to decide on further action against the interim government at the PNG Forum, Buadromo stressed suspending Fiji from the forum will not help as they believe regional partners need to remain engaged with the interim government.
