The National Farmers Union in Labasa is requesting Air Fiji and Pacific Sun to reduce their air fares from Labasa to Suva to $80.

In a statement to Fijivillage news this afternoon, NFU secretary Surendra Lal said most citizens stranded up North are teachers, students, workers and tourists, all of whom are supposed to be back at their respective destinations.

Unfortunately they are still stranded on either Viti Levu or Vanua Levu due to closure of roads and major wharfs.

Meanwhile, Pacific Sun CEO, Manoa Kamikamica confirmed their fares already stand at $89 and people should take advantage of this as they only have a limited number of seats in the plane.
