It looks like the European Union and the release of its aid will follow the same process of aid released for the Rewa Bridge after the 2000 Coup.
Those were the words of National Federation Party's General Secretary Pramod Rae referring to the EU Troika Mission report which said aid will be released for 2008 once the interim government fulfils its commitments to the EU on elections by March 2009.
Rae added the EU should wait for the completion of the electoral process and formation of a genuine multiparty government in accordance with the provisions of the 1997 Constitution before releasing aid and assistance that is currently suspended.
He said the EU should wait for the outcome of dialogue in the political forum because one cannot trust this interim government.
