The National Federation Party has admitted releasing the copy of a letter of the United Nations and Commonwealth Secretariat to two media organizations earlier this week.
General Secretary Pramod Rae told Fijivillage that the letter is not a personal property of the interim regime and neither confidential adding that they find it despicable that search warrants were issued to two media outlets.
Rae added that police detectives also visited him this morning.
Police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed that the police detectives did pay Rae a visit.
Fiji TV and Fiji Times were issued with search warrants on Tuesday and Sokomuri had earlier confirmed the letter was a joint statement from the UN and Commonwealth on their agreement to support the Presidential Political Dialogue Forum.
