The issue regarding the National Federation Party meeting not going ahead at Khemendra Primary School in Savusavu on Tuesday, is still heating up as the NFP continues to claim that they had the necessary approval while the school manager has called on the party to stop spreading misinformation.
NFP member and Coordinator of the party’s northern meetings, Ulamila Vakalalabure has made another claim today saying that the School Manager Vijay Nand had given the approval for the usage of the school for the NFP meeting.
Vakalalabure claims that they had also visited Nand’s home.
When Fijivillage questioned Vakalalabure if she had confirmation of the school booking in writing or had an invoice for the usage of the school for the NFP meeting, she said that she does not have any documentary evidence.
Khemendra Primary School Manager Vijay Nand has made it clear that he did not meet with Ulamila Vakalalabure or any other NFP member.
He says none of these individuals visited his home.
Nand says NFP should accept the fact that their stand is that no party will be given permission to have political meetings at Khemendra Primary.
He also stresses that the school is owned by the management and there was no directive given by the Education Minister Doctor Mahendra Reddy.
Doctor Reddy has not said anything about the issue.
