The National Federation Party said it is not surprising that the directive from the Former Director CID Waisea Vakamocea still stands.
General Secretary Pramod Rae is referring to the directive given by the former Director to all police stations around the country not to investigate members of any disciplined forces, and that any complaint to be referred to the force in question.
Rae added these police actions really show who they answer to.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Women's Crisis Centre Acting Coordinator Edwina Kotoisuva said this is a violation of people's rights.
Meanwhile, Police spokesperson Ema Mua has confirmed the directive was issued by former Director CID SP Waisea Vakamocea last year and it still stands.
