The National Federation Party said they are encouraged with the commitment of the Pacific Islands Leaders Forum on trying to ensure a return to democratic rule in Fiji after meeting with the Forum Foreign Minister this afternoon.
NFP General Secretary Pramod Rae said the Foreign Ministers have raised concerns on matters surround the holding of elections and have indicated that they would seek a more concrete commitment from the interim government to hold elections.
The Ministerial Contact Group comprises the Foreign Ministers of Australia, NZ, PNG, Samoa, Tonga and Tuvalu.
