England Patriots NFL Superbowl winner Nate Ebner will play for the USA 7s team at the Hong Kong 7s.

Ebner’s inclusion in the USA 7s team is part of coach, Mike Friday’s plan of including more pace and power in the team before the Olympics in August.

He replaces Carlin Isles in the team.

When Ebner was 17 years old, he became the youngest player to play for the USA 7s team.

He was chosen by the Patriots in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL draft and won a Super Bowl in the 2014 season.

Ebner had also been playing for the Samurai invitational team in the Hong Kong 10s tournament.

USA is pooled with Australia, Argentina and Portugal.

Meanwhile, Nick Cummins will play for the Australian 7s team at the Hong Kong 7s.

The 28‑year‑old outside back replaces Henry Hutchison who has failed to recover from a minor foot problem.

Cummins last played in the World Sevens series in May 2007.

Fiji-born Virimi Vakatawa also returns for France while Lote Tuqiri and Kameli Soejima will play for Japan.

The 2016 Hong Kong 7s will start at 10.10pm today.
