Members of the disciplined forces and the National Fire Authority will be part of the pilot group that is being set up to look into the termite infestation in Labasa.
Kadivuka Bio Security Taskforce Spokesperson Rosa Dalituicama said that this group will this afternoon be heading out to the Basoga area and carry out thorough inspection before a decision is made as to whether to increase the man-power.
Dalituicama said the main aim of the second analysis of the infested area is to determine the budget that will be needed to control the infestation as well as to determine the areas that need to be declared as Bio Security zones.
At this stage 9 homes have been confirmed to be infested with the same termite species which was first detected in the Lautoka area. A detailed analysis will be released today.
