The National Fire Authority has urged all public service vehicle owners to properly check their vehicles to avoid incidents that could pose a great risk to passengers and the public.

This comes after NFA attended to an incident this morning at the Nabua Bus stop where a large area of the road was covered with diesel after a leakage from the fuel-tank of a bus.

Chief Fire Officer, Tupou Saubulinayau said the incident could have caused a major road accident because of the resultant slippery and volatile road surface conditions.

The fire fighters used Sea Clean chemical to clean the area.
